Parcel Mapping
A map is a legal mechanism to subdivide real property into smaller parcels. Required improvements to the infrastructure in smaller parcels are considerably less than that required in larger areas. This mapping is typically used by landowners who are not “developers,” but who happen to have a large piece of property and desire to create smaller parcels.
A cadastral map assists in the valuation and taxation of land and provides a record of official and private land surveys and subdivisions.
